Not what you think..

No I'm not 200 pounds over weight. Not even 50. I just have been struggling with my weight ever since I hit puberty. I swear I have a fat person though, hiding inside me. It's the Fatty that makes me eat until I'm sick. The same Fatty craves sweets ALL the time. Since we like to throw blame, I would like to toss it to my good old genes. Obesity runs in the family, both sides. When you have that pushing against you, you have to push back HARD. Last summer I went on a crazy diet. Not one of those fad diets where you eat cabbage every meal, except for the day when you consume enough bananas to feed a bunch of gorillas. But a diet that was recommended by a naturopathic doctor. It worked really well, so well that I was able to squelch the Fatty and lose 15 pounds.

Unfortunately there is not a fairy tale ending. YET.

When I started teaching again (Surprise my full time job isn't trying to loose the 3 brownies Fatty made me eat..), I gained back everything I worked so hard for. It's easy to give into the temptations.

-Coworkers bring in snacks
-Kids bring in snacks
-I bring in snacks

Sounds like it all boils down to snacks.

There are other things too, such as Fatty telling me to stop at McDonald's every morning because the perfect breakfast is an Egg Mcmuffin with a large Diet Dr. Pepper. Also my weird addiction to Hersey's chocolate bars...

Moving forward to now. I'm back off for the summer. I've started my crazy diet again. This time I'm going to give old fatty a run for her money, because loosing weight and keeping it off would bring me one step closer to kicking out my Inner Fatty.
